A Spacious and Efficient SUV

Ever since it arrived on the market back in 2013, the current generation of Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has managed to stand out in several respects.

That explains in part why the midsize SUV was named the Canadian Utility of the Year by the Canadian Automobile Journalists Association of Canada in 2013. Today, the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport continues

to offer a virtually unmatched combination of versatility, performance, fuel economy and equipment.

Two engines in the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

Offered from $28,599, the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is powered out of the gate by a four-cylinder 2.4-liter engine that delivers 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. In addition to providing ample power for passing and accelerating away from red lights, the standard engine in the 2017 Santa Fe Sport is also fuel-efficient.

Indeed, it has an average fuel consumption rating of 11.1 liters per 100 kilometers in the city and 8.6 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway with front-wheel drive. A six-speed automatic gearbox is also standard, as are 17-inch wheels, Bluetooth, and heated seats. If you want all-wheel drive, the 2017 Santa Fe Sport remains affordable with a starting price of $33,099.

If buyers still want more power, the 2017 Santa Fe Sport is offered with a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine with 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Available in 2.0T models, the turbocharged engine is paired exclusively with all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Offering a very comfortable drive with great handling, the new 2017 Santa Fe Sport also offers the ability to adjust its driving behavior using the Drive Mode Select system. This allows you to adjust various parameters of the mechanical components using one of three modes: Eco, Normal and Sport. In other words, it is possible to have different personalities in the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.

A lot of space in the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

Although the Santa Fe Sport has room for five passengers and not seven like in the Hyundai Santa Fe XL, the Sport model is undoubtedly one of the most spacious midsize SUVs in its segment. There is indeed 1,003 liters of cargo space with all seats in place and 2,025 liters with the rear seats lowered. A total of 3,058 liters of interior volume awaits 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport owners.

There are also many active safety systems in the new Santa Fe Sport including adaptive cruise control, automatic braking system with pedestrian detection, multi-view camera, and lane departure warning.
